Our registered company is Bon Voyage Marketing Ltd and our trading name is Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel. We are a full service travel agency in Parnell, Auckland. Gerard & Michele Murphy are the owners and we started the agency in 1994. We are Bonded Member of the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ)*. This means your money is safe.
We are also a fully accredited agency of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and a Travel Agency Member of CLIA – Cruise Lines International Association – Australasia.
Within these Terms & Conditions the use of “we”, “us”, “our” and/or “Bon Voyage” refers to the company Bon Voyage Marketing Ltd.

To book online via this website, simply follow the instructions and secure your cabin by paying a deposit or the full payment by credit card. We will contact you within 24 hours or the next working business day to reconfirm your booking.

The fares on our website are in NZ$ per person based on two people sharing twin or double cabin/room accommodation, unless otherwise stated.
All fares are subject to availability of the specified cabin or accommodation grade at time of actual booking. Higher fares may apply for other cabin/accommodation grades.
All cruises and travel arrangements that we purchase in foreign currency are subject to change due to currency fluctuations until final payment has been made. Often fare increases can be avoided by pre-payment of your arrangements in full. By paying in full you accept the confirmed fare - your booking will not be re-costed should future exchange rate fluctuations occur.
Very rarely a government, local body, port or airport company will impose new or additional taxes or surcharges. Unfortunately this is beyond our control and as a result any additional fees will be passed onto you, as per the cruise line or supplier terms and conditions. On rare occasions this can happen after the final payment has been made.
A deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit can vary depending on the cruise line, the fare type or the special being offered. We will advise you what deposit and conditions are applicable to your booking.
By paying a deposit you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept the booking conditions of Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel and the cruise line and/or airlines and other travel providers booked.
Deposits/Payments may be non-refundable. If you have to cancel your booking please ask us what cancellation penalties apply. We recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may cause you to cancel.
For airfares, the full fare is often payable within 24 hours, several days, or maybe a fortnight after booking. Your confirmation invoice will explain the payment, amendment and /or cancellation details.
For cruises, on most occasions the cruise line required the balance of payment approx. 90-100 days prior to the cruise departure. Your confirmation invoice will explain the payment deadlines. Cruise lines have strict payment terms and delayed or non-payment of fares can result in an automated cancellation of your booking, this is beyond the control of Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel so it’s important we get your money on time.
The cruise line’s terms & conditions, which you are bound by, can be found in their brochure(s) or on respective website(s). Alternatively please ask us for a copy of their full terms and conditions.
For all fares and prices we will accept cash, EFTPOS, electronic payments into our bank account and cheques (subject to clearance delay).
We are happy to accept credit card payments however due to fees charged by the credit card companies and banks we charge the following transaction fees: For Visa & Mastercard we add 2%, for American Express, Diners Club and Q Card, we add 3%. If you make your cruise booking via our website the system accepts Visa and Mastercard for a 1% surcharge. All credit card surcharges are non-refundable.

The travel industry in constantly changing and we do try to keep the content on our website as up to date and accurate as possible. Our website connects to industry databases to search for travel related services like cruises, flights and hotels. We can’t always guarantee that these third party databases are 100% up to date and accurate, so we appreciate your understand and patience in these circumstances.
All fares, packages and offers displayed are subject to availability at time of enquiry. We will always check the availability and most up to date fares at the time of your enquiry/booking.
Some deals, offers and cruises you see here today may not be here tomorrow. They may sell out or the special offer may have expired, or the supplier has withdrawn the offer.
Should you wish to amend your booking Bon Voyage will impose a minimum fee of NZ$50.00 per person per amendment is imposed, simply to cover communication and administration costs. In addition, cancellation and/or amendment fees may also be imposed by the cruise lines, airlines and other service providers such as hotels and cruise line representation offices. Before you change bookings we will try and give you all the likely fees and charges, but sometimes things are harder to change and take longer than expected, so charges my vary. Please ask us what fees may apply to your booking.
Cancellation penalties will apply to your booking. Should you need to cancel your booking Bon Voyage will impose a minimum cancellation fee of NZ$100.00 per person, this will be in addition to the cancellation fees stipulated by the respective cruise line and/or travel service provider such as a hotel or airline. For more complicated bookings the charges may be higher reflecting the work done. Please ask us what fees may apply to your booking.
A transfer of an existing cruise booking to a new cruise can be regarded as a cancellation of the first cruise booking and is subject to the applicable cancellation fees.
We may have to charge fees to cover additional costs to secure refunds on your behalf and/or to assist you with travel insurance claims. Refunds from our suppliers can take some time to be processed, we can only refund you once monies form our suppliers such as the cruise line or airline clears in our bank account.
If a problem occurs with your arrangements while travelling it is important to try and solve them directly with the respective travel supplier, whether it be the cruise line, hotel or airline. If you feel you are not able to gain a satisfactory outcome we prefer that you contact us by phone or email while you are travelling, so that we are able to try and rectify the issue at the time. If it is not possible to do so and you wish to lodge a claim please do so in writing within 14 days of completing your Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel arrangements.
Generally a cruise will include: Accommodation in your selected cabin/stateroom, all main meals on board, on-board entertainment and activities supplied by the cruise line. Applicable port taxes & government fees. Some cruise lines include gratuities in the fare. Inclusions can vary per cruise line – your booking confirmation will advise you what is included and not included.
These items vary by cruise line. Generally items that are excluded are: Items of a personal nature, shore excursions, beverages, gratuities, meals ashore, on-board casino/betting, health & spa facilities, laundry services, ship's photography, retail shopping, on-board telephone & internet facilities, alternative restaurants.

Images shown are representative only and may not reflect the exact room, décor, view or other specifications. Star ratings for cruise lines/ship and accommodation are subjective and international standards vary. Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel strongly recommend that you take out a fully comprehensive travel insurance policy once the cruise deposit has been paid. This will include cover for unforeseen cancellation charges. You also need to have good medical and personal effects cover. Medical expenses overseas and particularly on cruise ships will be much higher than we are used to in NZ. Your insurance policy should also cover you for medical evacuation by helicopter or similar to get you to the nearest major hospital – unlikely we know, but some insurance policies don’t cover this!
Please ask us for travel insurance advice. We recommend and sell Comprehensive Travel Insurance, underwritten by Allianz.
Ultimately you are responsible for complying with all immigration, passport, visa, health, quarantine and customs laws for the countries you are visiting. We will advise you what the minimum passport and visa requirements are. We are also happy to offer advice on all sorts of other matters and more complicated visa/entry issues if requested. We use a Visa processing company, Travcour, to obtain visas and charges do apply. We cannot be held responsible if any country or authority alter, update or amend their rules after you have booked. Nor can we be held responsible if you haven’t provided us with all the necessary information to assist you with obtaining the correct documentation to travel. If in doubt please contact us.

The carrier companies that provide the transportation for your travel arrangements (i.e. the cruise lines, airlines or travel service providers) produce Terms & Conditions of carriage which form part of your contract both with Bon Voyage Cruises & Travel and with the carrier companies. You may ask for copies of the relevant providers Terms & Conditions of carriage from us at any time.
We have a company goal of “Continual Improvement” so we reserve the right to change or modify our terms and conditions at any time without notice. When we do we’ll update them here and if there are any big changes that may affect your bookings we’ll let you know.
